BIS M Freeborn

 The Silver Championship Open Show staged by South Hampshire BS had an entry of 444 budgerigars which was down on the previous year. The overall quality was exceptional with the well known Light Green cock staged by Secretary Mike Freeborn taking Best in Show. Another Light Green from the beginner section took Best Young Bird in Show from the up and coming aviary of M.Casson. The cock was in great form and fully deserved its high honour.

M Freeborn also won Best Opposite Sex young bird with a Opaline Cinnamon cock. Best Opposite Sex any age went to champion Steve Bailey’s Grey cock shown in excellent condition.

Many thanks go out to the new show secretary Peter Merritt with his computer skills for completing the paperwork on time, ably assisted by Tony Cash.
